Hi everyone,
I got two chickens at a local poultry auction about 10 weeks ago. They were auctioned off as hens, but I think they are roosters. One is larger than the other and I suspected it was a rooster first. Now they look quite different from each other. The smaller one has a tail that curls down at the end, the larger one does not seem to have grown in the tail completely-- it is splayed out, almost like a turkey!

I'd greatly appreciate any expert opinions!

Thanks so much.

Abby in Glen Innes

Hi Abby and welcome to BYP.
Sorry, but yes, both are male. RIR? New Hampshire? maybe?
