Hi,

This is my first post. We are newbie Pekin owners and I am wondering if anyone can help me sex these chicks.
They are 4 weeks old. Really hard to get good photos as they just run away!

Thanks in advance

Oh no! My husband took some better photos this afternoon.
Will put some more in of the ones I think might be boys. We incubated and ended up with 15 chicks.
Thanks!

Hopefully you are right with the girl, but the others do look male.

It's crazy how early some of the Pekin males can develop, my very obvious male started doing his awkward crow/honk at about 5ish weeks. I was hoping the other five chicks I have were female as their combs were much smaller...but now at 9 weeks it looks like I've got some late bloomers. :doh

Hopefully you get some girls in your lot!

Thanks for the feedback. I think we have about 5 or 6 girls. Crossing my fingers anyway!

We had one of the older chicks (he's 7 weeks old now) start crowing around 5 weeks old, possibly even earlier!

Time will tell I suppose.
