Hi, everyone!

I've just had 4x Light Barred Plymouth Rocks & 1x DBPR chick hatch and my research for sexing has confused me a bit because, yes, some of them have the "defined" spot on the head but they have some light patches as well so I don't know how this affects the sexing ability. Can anyone out there advise me, please? I know one is supposed to take into account whether their legs are darker or not but it's very difficult to tell with this lot. Theese photos are only taken at a day or two old. That may also account for why not much is showing on their wings so maybe I will be able to tell better when they're a week old. Anyone?

First, the group shot:

1st chick is rather confusing as it only has 2x tiny specks on it's head.

This is the 5th chick (supposed to be a Light Barred PR):

Supposedly, one is also suppose to tell from the legs as well i.e. darker legs = female, but as far as I can see there isn't much difference atm.
e.g. 001 chick:

As you can see, I didn't get a really good pic of this or chick no. 4's legs, so might not be of much use. I'll try and get better pics when I can as I have to go out now. Will check back later.
