One of my 8 month old ISA brown hens is crowing and has stopped laying regularly.
About 6 weeks ago when I first heard the sound I thought she was just sneezing loudly. This sound has become louder and more high pitched like someone screaming 'achoo'. This morning it's sounding more like a rooster crowing. My neighbours are pretty tolerant of the egg laying chorus but the crowing is really loud and annoying.
Is it just a cough?

Some hens do start crowing, unfortunately... She may not crow all year round, just a certain times for a stretch.

Many thanks for your reply. At least now I know that I'm not crazy!

No, definitely not crazy! I feel your pain as I’ve had two crowing hens. It seems to be a role that the boss hen can sometimes take on when there isn’t an actual rooster around.
