Hi all
Our LS rooster has a light brown flush over his ruff and shoulders. Does that mean he is not a purebred LS?
Certainly his progeny are a good size, but after a spring flush, his fertility seems pretty low now.
All advice appreciated
Cheers

have you got a photo? also depending on where you are in australia during summer white birds that get a lot of heathy sun can get a yellowish/light brownish tinge to the upper part of their body.

Thanks for that, it may well be the issue, as I hadn't noticed it until quite recently. And now I notice that several of my hens also show a touch of that colouration and they are not related to him at all.
cheers
