Ah, snakes. We know that there is at least one tiger snake who comes to our chookhouse each day for a drink. I'm trying to "live with it".

What do guineafowl do? Just act as watchdogs and "bark"? Or do they attack the snake?

They are not really attack birds but will make loud alarm calls.

My pair are very noisy - they call out at just about anything! They are also very good mousers.. I often see them with some critter in their beak. I think thye raid the nexts and eat the young?

I wouldn't suggest keeping guinea fowl (in any number) if you have close neighbours...

If they dont fly over your fence into the neighbours backyard, they will vocally make themselves known to your neighbours.

They arent the smartest birds, even if they are seperated from one another by a low chicken wire fence they will be sure to tell the whole world.

I find the females are much quieter, maybe worth considering?

Good luck :D

I would recommend keeping them in big numbers as they do so well and the noise is nothing to worry about

I had 6 at one stage...all over the neighbors roof during day  ....they didn't mind.....

The dog started to annoy them to much in the end constantly herding them off the grass and back to their pen....
