Hi I have two Gunie Fowl Hens but they wont lay eggs do I need a male to make them lay ( they are old enough )I am only new to gunie fowls and need help

Well, i can't say it's too early as mine have been laying for a month or two. Are they free range? If they are then they probably are laying...somewhere. As far as i know, you don't need a male for them to lay, i had females running with the chooks years ago that would lay in the nest boxes as the chooks would and they didn't have a male with the.

I have them in a big enclosure as i was curious to know if they were laying, they have been there for 10 weeks but still no eggs

When did they hatch? Often late hatches start to lay later. Like if they hatched this year they may be late starting. They will just do it when they are ready. You can't make 'em!

Thanks nick and nelly,just didnt know if they needed a male but I now see they dont .If you dont ask you will never know ...Ill be patient till auto - pilot kicks in and they start laying ..
