Every year I always go to the local poultry shows and I have decided to start showing my guinea fowls and possibly turkeys in the junior sections. I need all the help I can get!

Does anyone have any tips or suggestions?

What are the points judges look for in a show bird, other than tight feathering, cleanness and correct markings?

:help:

do you have a copy of the standards of the birds you want to show, this would be a good place to start.

i also suggest you change your heading to include help wanted on turkeys and guineas in shows so that those with knowledge will have their attention attracted

Hi Melzz,
I have been breeding and showing turkeys and guinea fowl since 1980s
Give me a pm and I am happy to give you any advice that I can.
I have bread and shown over the years: Burbans reds, ahites, palms, bronze and blues.
I have won champion turkey at Sydney royal for the last 3 years.

There has been some changes made with some of the profiles. the Guinea one is now here but we don't have any turkey ones at all.

Would anyone like to do a profile of any of the turkey breeds listed?
Black
Bourbon Red
Bronze
Buff
Narragansett
Royal Palm
Slate or Blue
White (Large & Small)

Thanks
