It depends really on how the Lavender & Pearl parent birds bred, ie, whether or not they have other recessive mutations. For example, if none of the Pearl males used have recessive lavender, no lavenders will be produced. However if some/all of the Pearl males have lavender, then lavender keets may also be produced.

I finally got enough fertile eggs to start the incubator. I put 36 eggs in, only around 1/2 are fertile.

They are starting to lay more now so hopefully fertility will be a bit better.

They are very slow this season, the only thing I can put it down to is the ever changing weather..

I envy you Pazz cause you will have your little keets. I just want to ask if raising Guineafowl is the same with chicken?
