Has anyone ever loaned white pigeons for weddings or anything? I've seen ads that people release them but also have dyed fantails just for show. Is there much money in it?
Thanks.

I wouldn't imagine so. I suspect it's a handy way to make some money back from a hobby to which you're already dedicated, but I very much doubt you could run it as a viable business completely on its own.

There is a couple around the corner from me and it is their entire business. They seem to do alright from it, but I am guessing it works only where there are a lot of weddings, such as in a city. They also do funerals etc. Like any business, you will get back out of it what you put into it.

Most people use white racing pigeons but they need to be trained before wedding releases. As for the fantails I’m not sure must just be for Show as they are terrible at flying and they have a poor homing ability.
