I bought a trio of Turkeys about 4 weeks ago and last night had two poults hatch - under a duck :) One of my Turkey Hens has been sitting and I gave a few eggs to a duck who has been on dud eggs for ages. These are my first turkeys and I just love them. With the babies, what do I need to feed them. I understand that they cant have chick starter. These will be pets only, so want to make sure they are fed correctly, right from the start.

Also, I love how they hatch, a perfect circle cut of the top of the egg :)

They can have regular chick starter, but you can also get turkey specific starter feeds at most stores which is higher protein.

I only keep them on starter a few weeks and then move them to a meat bird grower which they waste far less of and its cheaper.
