Greetings everyone!

I'm planning on quail farming and it will be my first time. As of this moment my main concern is its feeds. Already researched, feeds recommended are not available in my country.

It's a poject to income generating farm so to speak. Planning on selling their eggs. Since it's a project, I want to spend as low as possible but of course without sacrificing the well being of the quails.

Now, what can I feed the quails without using the commercially available ones?
In my farmland I have these items readilly available:
1. Yellow corn grits
2. Crushed egg shells
3. Manzanita tree
4. Tomatoes
5. Corn on the cobs and others

Can any of that items be used as their daily feed intake?

Welcome to the forum. :-) We are based in Australia and as the title suggests, members generally are hobby rather than commercial keepers of poultry. I suggest that you contact your local Department of Agriculture for information particularly relevant to your location. Best wishes in your enterprise.
