:hiding Smallflock and caladenia ...well technically I do have all the colours and breeds I want.

Klw it does feel so good. Its almost a relief knowing I don't have to worry about bringing in any other disease with new birds.
Angelcake I already have 5 roosters and really don't have room for any more at this stage. But the breeder did have some lovely boys.
Her pekins are in excellent condition. I loved one of her blue mottles but it wasn't for sale.
She did say she'd have more blue mottles becoming available breeding season :help:

I'm TRYING but its hard going cold turkey with an addiction. Perhaps I need to wean myself off very, very slowly....

Those mottles really are VERY lovely, and a handsome young mottled chap wouldn't go astray. You still have the option of selling fertile eggs!

Pretty coloured pekins Sam_Cox. Yes they truly are a lovely breed.
My pekins are such funny little fluffy butts. They have this air of elegance about them and waltz around like they're royalty and deserve the best of everything. Then they do this mad dash across the garden, screeching and flapping their wings like madwomen and not really moving that fast mind you with those short legs and fluffy feet. Silly girls.
Its hilarious. :-D

I decided to actually count my chickens today.
I thought I had around 50.
I counted 63.

Oh dear ! How on earth did that get so out of control?
I do believe my flock is complete now. No wonder its taking me so long to pick up poo for all those chooks every morning.
Maybe if I got them chicken diapers to wear I could get more chooks ... :globe

LMG that's not possible. It was practically scientifically proven that there are only 6 chooks total in Australia - refer this thread: viewtopic.php?f=14&t=8035646

LMG, I looked behind the door and under the sofa plus I opened up the cupboards and I still could only see 2 pictures posted ... where are the other 8 or 12? (that you most certainly took, but maybe forgot to post?)

AND you did not elaborate on why/how Miss Daisy has won your affections.

PS I wish I had some strolling grass, and your little splash from the back reminds me of my little lost Chilli Pepper, who now sleeps under the mulberry tree, RIP Chilli
