Hi, I train dogs to do tricks (I had a 'wonderdog' beagle who i used to do trick demos with) but I just had a thought... WHY NOT CHICKENS?
Ive seen some chicken agility videos and they were so cool!
My chickens come when called and my hen jumps on objects when instructed, but what are some other things I could teach them?
Do any of your chickens do tricks? :wee

Why not chickens indeed!
You should check out the Private life of chickens film if you haven't already seen that, somewhere in there shows some chickens that were trained to recognise shapes which might be useful.
Here's the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1c06xOF4uQ8

My chickens don't do any tricks, but they have me trained pretty well. The two hens I have now for eggs are free range, but with a short fence I have enclosed a small area for them as they go and annoy the guinea pigs too much and do other rascally things when given the whole back yard.
They physically are quite able to jump over the fence, but don't unless their pellets are running low and then the more active one comes to tell me, and I pop her back in and refill their food. :laughing
