My Australorp Red Island cross chickens are both laying but small eggs ... IsaBrowns same diet large eggs.... will this change

If they’re in their first year of laying you will find that the eggs will get slightly bigger in their second year. But not a lot. It’s not unusual at all to get smallish eggs from Australorps, compared to other medium sized pure breeds or the commercial strains like ISA Browns. I have two well bred Australorps and while they are great layers from a quantity/frequency point of view they do lay small eggs for the size of the bird. I have a bantam that weighs about a quarter of what they do and her eggs are almost as big as theirs.
