Hello everyone,

I have a ‘white’ cockerel that needs a new home. Crowed for the first time this morning. I’m ok if it goes into a pot if you know what you’re doing. If my mum was here she’d process it for us but due to COVID border closures she won’t get here for a while.

It came to us as part of a clutch of baby chickens from a school egg-hatching program. Honestly, with COVID events I’ve lost track of time but I would say 3-4 months ago. Free-ranged our suburban backyard until 4 weeks ago and has been in a chicken coop with access to our compost bays and a run. Has been hanging out with 5 ‘sisters’ and our two previous boss chooks.

Not tame, but also no overly aggressive behaviours, unless you count a desire to peck my toes.

Looking forward to hearing from someone!

Alison
