Hi everyone

One of my hens died and because i could feel a mass inside her I cut her open and found this. Is this some sort of tumor? Was she egg bound from a double yolker and this was the result? What do you think I'm dealing with here? Is it a lymphoid tumour?

Any thoughts would be appreciated on what this is and what might have caused it.

Thanks

Anne

That is a "lash egg" a mass of infection and pus, often caused by a condition called "Salpingitis" and infection in the oviduct.
