Hi just after some info. My duck is wheezing when he breathes & I can feel his chest rattling like he has bronchitis. My other female Pekin duck has very ruffled feathers whereas they used to be smooth.
Can anyone shed any light on what might be wrong? Thanks.

Sounds like a respiratory infection (which could involve a range of causes including a virus, bacterial infection, or infection from mould spores aka aspergillosis). To diagnose it a trip to an avian vet would be needed.

When you pick them up what is their weight like? Are they well muscled and solid feeling or do they feel light and bony?

The one with the ruffled looking feathers may just be moulting. They do look quite shaggy during that time. Mine are moulting now. Has she been losing feathers?

Hi Rach
He is very light & boney. She may be moulting because there are a lot of feathers about.
Thank you so much.
I will get in touch with a vet.
Regards
Colleen

If he's very light then it's probably something that has been going on for a while. I hope that the vet can help. Let us know how things go.
