I have a sick bird. I don't know about her poo, but since I bought her on Sunday from a charity auction, she had been picked put at the bottom of the pecking order and seems alone. She also looks like she has some kind of difficulty breathing and now won't stand and sleepy and lathagic about 8 monrhs old.
Her crop is very full. Can I treat her myself?

First thing to do is to isolate her from the others. A few weeks of quarantine is always a good idea when you bring in new birds. It is a good opportunity for routine things such as worming, dusting, general health and husbandry stuff. I have enough excess birds that I can give them a 'sacrificial' companion so that they have a buddy when they join the flock.

If she won't stand she is very unwell. Her best chance is a vet visit. If this is not an option start with TLC.
What is her general body condition like?
Is her crop full at night and empty in the morning?
What are you feeding?

Can you post a pic of her and a poo pic?
