avian vet was Dr Cameron Wood - West Brunswick Vet Clinic at 169 Dawson Street West Brunswick. Ph/3876166
Consulting hours are Mon - Sat 9am to 11am and Mon - Fri 4pm to 7pm (Wed 6pm)

He was lovely (as was his nurse) and I would recommend them to anyone needing an avian vet in the inner Melbourne area, only 6 km from the city.

Adrian is absolutely fantastic - that's who I refer all my trickier bird cases to!

NOWRA and south coast, Andrew, forget his last name, there are 2 Andrews at the south nowra clinic the one I mean is younger and taller he is a breeder aswell of parrots and has an interest in birds although not a specialist. He works at South Nowra and Tomerong, he is very nice and great with all bird problems and charges fairly. We are taking our older female scaley breasted lorri to him tomorrow as she looks like she could be having trouble laying an egg.

Haven't used them for chooks but we have taken our cats there for ages and they are just lovely. They saved one of our cats when she had bad infections, and cared for our other cat as she died. Mandy has an interest in chooks and has some at home.

Another for Melbourne. I have been taking my birds to Sasha Herbert at the Lort Smith Animal Hospital in the city. She is an avian and exotic animal specialist - however she is not available every day of the week. There is another exotics vet there as well- but I cant remember his name.
