They are constructed of three layers of natural fibre that makes them both breathable and comfortable for the girls. Cotton on top with bamboo/cotton batting in the middle, backed with calico. Monofilament thread used so it doesn't rot and durable nylon straps with snaps making it easier to get on, unlike the ones you have seen where you have to pull the wings through. They are $13 each plus postage for the chicken sizes and $18 plus postage for the turkey, random patterns/colours. I have also had some requests and now make chicken nappies for those who love to bring their feathered friends indoors, some have said it would be great to have in their chicken first aid kit. Also a new design in poultry saddle for those girls who need both wings and back looking after, still doing the original design as some just don't need both. The nappies are $25 and the new saddles are $18 plus postage.

hey Ritavaleimble i just wanted to say "my girls love their saddles".
tonight(if i remember) i have to get one girls saddle off as her feathers grew back lovely. when i go to pick her up to remove it you would think i am trying to kill her from her reaction and speed away from me.

Actually I think Ritavaleimbil has had some problems lately and has sold all her poultry. Not sure if she is still doing the saddles. A pm is worth a try though.

This is where she needs her protection. Would a saddle cover her there?

It might. Is it to protect her from another female that is feather pecking or to protect her from the attentions of a male fowl?

It assume it is the male that is damaging her. None of the other females will attack my Bessie, and I see the rooster never leaving her alone - so I assume it is him.
