Mealworms are a great food source for chooks as they are packed with protein. Mealworms can be kept in the fridge (they just go dormant) and feed as needed, if you let them come to room temp first they will warm up and start moving. Chooks go absolutely nuts for them!!

Suburban Chooks are now selling fresh mealworms, packaged just before pickup/postage - 20g for $8 (approx. 250) or 60g for $20 (approx. 700). Larger quantities available also... Mostly med-large sized, for birds, reptiles, frogs and chickens.

Mealworm Breeding Starter Kits also available, containing all fours stages of the Darkling Beetle ('Tenebrio molitor') plus detailed instructions on how to set up and successfully breed fresh mealworms for your chookies.
$30 including Australia-wide postage, using 500g Express Post Satchels.
If you wanted to go ahead, please send me a PM with your email address and postage details and I will send you an invoice. Alternatively you can email us directly - enquiries@suburbanchooks.com.au

Pickup is available (Melbourne South-Eastern suburbs), methods of payment are COD, bank deposit or credit card.
Thanks
Christine
