Hi
I'm just wondering if anyone knows of someone who does interstate poultry transport, from New South Wales to Qld.
Just asking around for the cheapest quote thanks

There are three that I have used, two that I recommend.

The Critter Coach - my most frequently used (and the cheapest). I've been very happy with the service from Tony

Ani Trans Transport - dearer than The Critter Coach, but excellent service as well

East Coast Poultry & Pet Transport is another, but I had a poor experience with them and haven't used them again. Othgers swear by them, however

I recently had jetpets transport some birds from canberra to perth. It was 3birds per crate and I had 6 sent over. It was $380 for the flight and the lodgement and I also bought 2 transport cages which were $50 each(cat carrier sizes) so $480 in total. 4-5hr direct flight and i had them home safe and put to bed within 7hrs.

Whilst not cheap, I'm pretty happy with it, my biggest concern with using courier companies whose main focus is poultry is the added risk of exposure from the other birds in the truck/van etc.. that and the fact that some of the trips take several days to deliver. Which would be more stress and more time for something to go wrong.

My only other options were around the same price range, actually more expensive i think and would have taken several days to get to me.

I have never transported poultry before, but I would have the same concerns as you Fylingcolours with regards to exposure to to other birds on the trip.

I uses Jetpets quite a bit to transport Dogs around Australia, excellent service and cant fault the level of care they give your animals. Its worth the money to get your pets around safely and quickly to reduce stress.
