I have 50 broilers that I have reared that are ready for slaughter. I live 8 hours from the abattoir so it would suit me greatly to reduce numbers. Has anyone ever sold broilers live? Does anyone know the legal implications of selling broilers or other chickens live, particularly in S.A.?

Yes you can sell them live. It's up to the buyer what they do with them.

I don't think there are any states in Australia where you can sell backyard kills for human consumption.
