I'm new to raising chickens and have 3 hens(2 ISA Browns). They regularly lay nice large eggs, but 3 days ago, one started laying an extremely large, rippled egg, with double yokes. The shell thickness is fine and the whites aren't watery. As everyone knows, there's a multitude of opinions regarding raising, feeding, etc. I recently read they require higher protein feed, due to their prolific egg-laying. I bought some Purina feed with 20% protein. Aside from that, there have been no other changes. She's the only one of the 3 that are laying these monsters! I just want to make know if there's an issue that needs to be addressed or if this is normal.

I also had this, this is absolutely normal, you should not worry about this, the main thing is that the egg is good and fresh in the middle, otherwise what it looks like does not make a difference

Thanks for your reply. She laid these 3 days in a row, but is back to laying her normal eggs.
