Hi All, i am very new to this and am making a incubator. Has anyone got any images of how eggs should be placed on the wire? I guess they dont go in as if they were in a egg carton ie standing straight? If they get placed flat then how should you rotate? Just turn/rotate them to the other side or flip them like a summasalt?

If eggs are going in an incubator that has a wire tray, they just lay on their sides. It's useful to put a mark eg. a a cross on one side and a zero on the other. That way you know if you have turned it over or not. You just turn them over with your hand gently.

If eggs go into an incubator with a turner, then they go in point side down, air cell up.

Eggs need to be turned a minumum of twice a day, but many instructions will recommend more times. A broody egg turns the eggs very frequently.
