Here is the first of many chickens.
I was testing my new IM 42 bator and this was the first of the mixed batch of all sorts I had gathered up from around the district.
I might play a game with them later as "Name this breed"

I put the pipping eggs in the Piewarmer bator so I can monitor what they are doing.

The small eggs you see in the piewarmer are ruffs rare coloured chookens, there wasnt enough room in the IM bator for all of those. There is over 50 eggs so I will be have some fun :bounce:

I hope he gets a friend soon, he looks a bit lonely.

Any polish in the mix?

I don't know what breeds, but how bought a guess on colours?

Top I think will be barred, and I think you could be right about it being male. The next I think may be a buff, not white. Are the feathers coming through on it's wings white or buff?

Cute pics.

OHHHHH I couldn't help it
I walked into the petshop and saw these lil buggars and had to buy them :P
They were way to cute to have them sitting in a shop, so I picked them up and brought them home.
My wife asked "WHY?? You have 60 bloody eggs in the bator ready to hatch!!!"
My reply was "But these were calling out Cheap cheap so I had to get them" :P

Black one is a plymouth rock? wouldnt discount it as a boy stright away, some roosters can mix it up a bit.
