I have decided to try turkey eggs in this incubator the spacing along the parts that turn was a bit close if the eggs were on the bigger side

another update I have also incubated pheasants in the incubator successfully.

However the incubator has died after 7 months of use while the incubator is meant to be under guarantee the eBay seller is unresponsive.

This suggests that getting the part to repair the incubator is likely to be challenging.

While I found it versatile incubator the reliability issues suggest you would need to purchase it from someone who is likely to be able and prepared to honour any guarantee claims.

I reassembled the unit today and it seems to be working again.

I wiggled the wires that supply the power and so far so good.

However it is not a confidence inspiring performance

Can you re-solder any of the wires that seem iffy?

Certainly re-soldering the wires seems a good plan.

However now the fan has stopped working.

some of the eggs were too cool and others seemed very hot.

I don't think I have the temperament to tolerate unreliable machines.

When the machine works it works well however I think it should be reliable for more than 3-4 months.

Yeah I don't think I'd bother trying to repair it, you'd just be waiting around for it to fail again. Pretty poor form that the ebay seller isn't responding, can you escalate it with ebay themselves?

Thank you for doing the review though, I've directed a few people who were interested in the incubator to this thread.

I have contacted ebay and they contacted the seller who now seems responsive.

if the issue will get resolved presently I don't know.

I did find out that Paypal has a buyer protection program so if there is a problem within 180 days they will become involved.
