I have baby's hatching, first time ever they have gone past 21 days on day 24 they started to pip. Two in particular piped from the wrong side.. I left them in to see how they go as I didn't want to open the incubator. After about 30 hours I decided to get the little guy out and help him take away some shell. Put it back and finally ripped the remaining egg lining... Was extremely weak as expected.. After another 24hours still looking weak but alittle improvement. I noticed the chick couldn't stand so I thought splay leg but one I taken it out and under lamp to have a better look and I noticed if I help to get it standing upright it begins to tilt it's head back looking at the shy and begins to roll on its back.. What's happened?? And what to do?? Any advice??

Start it onto some avian vitamins ASAP - sometimes this is nutritional (breeder nutrition) and can be corrected
Do you know what the breeder diet was?

Yep, bird vitamins pronto. I'd give them to the chick using an eye dropper. Drip drops on the side or tip of the beak - one drop, then wait and let the chick swallow it, then another drop. I'd start with a double strength mixture and give it every couple of hours during the day. Then use a normal strength mxture on day 2 or so. If you have some glucose syrup you can add a bit of that to the mixture to give the chick an extra source of energy. You'll have to keep giving the vitamins till the chick improves - can be a few days or more. Usually vitamins help enormously.
