Am about to set some eggs from an indian game hen. I cracked 2 of them (both about 2 weeks old) and they both look like this.
Is the large white surround the developed "bullseye" or not.
All views appreciated and respected.

It doesn't look like it to me. But I'm new to it all aswell! I have cracked a lot of eggs with a very defined bulls eye though.

I can't see anything - have you rolled the yolk over to check all round?

If you look at it, there is the small white dot, and behind and around it is an area of egg white which seems attached to it. Nothing else.
We've now cracked another couple, one which might be bullseyed, so we've decided to give all the eggs back and let the hen go au naturel. She's certainly gone a bit clucky and bit me when I tried to remove the last egg today - but isn't setting the 2 golf balls I gave her earlier.
The End
