Hi, my chicken has been getting bigger and slower and sicker over the past 2 weeks. I don't think she lays so I assumed that she was just putting on weight, but now I realise she is definitely unwell - slow movement, eating but only just.

So, details/symptoms (and I'm just listing everything in case it's relevant)
- her belly is swollen and firm and possibly hot to the touch compared with the other girls
- she is a hyline brown
- no idea of age (inherited her a couple of months ago) but her comb is smaller than the other two so would have expected her to lay as they both pop out a daily egg
- over past month she has got slower and bigger
- she seems to have diarrhoea - mess on her feathers but havent actually been able to inspect her droppings
- eating but very lack lustre

I wondered if egg bound but the whole belly is swollen and firm and the things I've read say that you can feel the egg.

Any ideas?

Thanks
