That should be fine, twitch. I think it is more about the length of the soak rather than the time of day.

should give good results or at least raise issues you need to be aware of

if you want wheat grass just let it grow rather than dry it out

it seems that I have confused at least one person.

Malting grain is basically stating the grain to grow and then halting the process by drying the gran out.

If you want wheat grass just let it grow rather than dry it out

The factors to start the grain growing to malt it are exactly the same as those to to star the grain growing for sprouts such as wheat grass.

issues such as non softened water, soaking water temps, soaking times, hydration and availability of air (oxygen) for respiration of the grain while it is sprouting.

May need to be considered if you are having problems.

This is probably more complicated than is needed for hobbyist activity’s.

when I soak the seeds, some are floating and some has sunk to the bottom, I don't know how old the seeds are how do you know if they are off or not??
