I would appreciate some input from those who have more experience than I do. Our hen has gone broody and has begun to sit on other hens. Why is she doing this?

When they want to sit they want to sit. I've got a photo of four broody hens all sitting on each other because apparently they just *had*to sit in that particular nest box, lol. I had another sit on my drink bottle after I knocked it into one box when I was cleaning them. Couldn't work out where it was until I retraced my steps, lifted the broody hen and found it.

The nesting instinct can be pretty strong, and if you aren't seeing any other problems then I wouldn't worry.

I was hoping that was going to be the kind of answer I would receive. Thanks so much! I really like that hen and didn't want to hear anything negative. LOL
