I have only one 2 year old hen and she started to moult a few weeks ago.....nothing strange about that you say!

However, out of 5 pullets from last Octobers hatch (so they are only 6mths old), only 1 has decided to moult and the others are firmly retaining their feathers.
I thought, perhaps mistakenly, that the young ones would not be moulting at their age?? :think:

You wouldn't expect a moult from any of the young ones. I guess she's a non-conformist :)
