i found a lot of feathers in run,
would they be molting, its a bit late??

Looks like some one is moulting. Some times they do it for no known reason (or for their own reason). My Barnies heard the words "Chook Show" and promptly dropped half their tail feathers. ohjeez

I suppose let them be,

I have notice the reds are coming back on the lay, and the leghorns are slowing down,

as they are moulting

Not sure... but then this winter started later too...
Where are you located?

If they have been laying for a while they may take a break and go into a moult. At least where you live the Winter is not too cold (minus 8 here last week)

hay sue,
you can have that,
I don't like the cold very much especially when it hits the single number
I thing its bad enough when it is 7 degrees,
but when you say in the minus,
well....
you can have that, ha ha ha
