Hi brains trust...

Hoping you can help me out...

I have 5 commercial type hens - about 12 months old now.... and find we are going though more than 5 eggs a day.

How can I go about introducing another 5 girls (not yet laying ~ 17 weeks) so there are no/minimise issues?

Many thanks

Greg

Slowly. Adjoining pens so that they can see but not touch each other works, or if you have room a pen within the older ones main run. There are quite a few threads on this. Also this article: http://www.backyardpoultry.com/director ... flock.html

Good luck & please let us know how you get on. Pics too would be nice. :-)
