hi,i was wanting to get a passionfruit vine in the backyard but I was reading that the immature fruit and other parts of it are toxic and contain cyanide but its says to dogs but doesn't say anything about chooks/birds.no doubt fruit would end up on the ground so I don't know if its ok or not.does anyone know ?
thanks

They are commonly grown over chook pens. I have one growing over a tank near the pens and the chooks show no interest in plant or fruit (even fallen fruit).

I had one growing over my pen for years and the chooks showed no interest at all.

I grow a banana passionfruit along a fence. The chooks eat the ripe fruit (grrrrrr), and the flowers sometimes.
I feed them the ripe fruit when there are to many. They love them.
Never any ill effects for several years now.
