The December meeting of the KDPC will be held in the Kyneton Football Netball Club rooms at the Kyneton Showgrounds on the corner of Mollison and Beauchamp Streets Kyneton.

We ask everyone to be there at the earlier time of 7.00pm

This will be our Christmas break up and is primarily for KDPC members. There will be dinner provided and all enquiries about catering should be directed to Club Secretary Nik Round [diet requirements and if any extra food e.g. dessert that may be needed]. There are more details in the Club site

This is our last meting until the first Thursday in February and we wish all our members and friends a Merry Christmas and a happy and safe New Year

Unfortunately I failed to thank Fiona Scott Norman for her speech at the November meeting. We were well entertained by her amusing and frank recounting of the vagaries and funny happenings when you have chooks in inner Melbourne suburbs. She gave us a preview of her very amusing new book "Chicken Life" published by Pan MacMillan which is now available in stores.

Regards Ian B

Hi All.

Our Christmas breakup was a pleasant affair with a pretty good roll up. Nik did a great job organising a splendid repast with help from Pam and others.
The salads and sweets provided by Nik and various club members were delicious and abundant.

The "pass the parcel" was made more interesting as the parcels were wrapped in multi layers to add intrigue by disguising the contents.

We had a raffle and a total of seven bags of various chook foods were won by four people.

Everyone seemed to enjoy the evening.

President, Graham Smith, thanked all those who made special contributions during the year and remarked that the club had had a very successful year once again.

We wish all our members, families and friends of Kyneton a merry and safe Christmas and a happy and chooky New Year

Regards Ian B
