Hi All.

As you know our next sale has been called off but we are hopeful the July 5th auction may go ahead. The clubs April meeting is also canceled and the May meeting is in abeyance. The Wednesday weekly shed team will not running as usual but will be getting together in an ad hoc basis. Robert Hargreaves is the contact.
The Coronal Virus is causing havoc all over with the Sydney Easter Show canceled along with other sales and shows

The is a lot of miss-information in the unofficial media and it can be confusing. Even the AFL is involved. They moved the Geelong match to Sydney because of the "Corio Virus"

Regards an B.

Hi All,

How is everybody coping with the CORONAVIRUS situation? Are you handling the lock down OK and not gong stir crazy? This is one of those rare occasions when it is preferable to go to work than stay inside your gates day after day. A great number of chook people are geriatrics and if you are like my wife and I who have had the "Riot Act" read to us by our loving daughter about venturing out and about and insists on doing the shopping etc.

At least the dogs can be walked for exercise and if you are able to get out and enjoy the fairly mild climes t's not to bad.

There are many jokes doing the rounds and one I particularly liked was the husbands' statement coming back to haunt them

"I WILL DO THAT WHEN I HAVE TIME"

I have learnt a new word n this time of confinement and it is "ALEKTOROPHOBIA" which means fear of chickens. Something rarely found in the viewers of this page.

If you have any remarks or stories to relate please post as it may inform or amuse us during these unusual times.

Regards Ian B

Hi All,

Just letting you know officially that the July auction will not be taking place. I wish there was some good news but we await major relaxing of restrictions before any activity can resume.

I hope everyone is enjoying the latest changes to socialising and getting together with family and friends. All your poultry pals are only a phone call, text, email etc. away.

Stay well
Ian B

Hi All,
I hope everyone is fit and well and coping with these trying times without too much hardship.

The KDPC recently arranged a special delivery of wheat and other grains for members from Rohan Broom who normally sells at our auctions. 15 members availed themselves of the opportunity and it went well with social distancing observed.

It was a chance to briefly catch up for a quick face to face chat and to meet a couple new members.

We use phones, emails, facebook, the clubs website etc and of course BYP to keep in touch but it's nice to see a familiar face.

Take out there

Ian B

Hi All,
I hope everyone is well and in good humour.
I would like to remind you that the avian virus is about and there is plenty of information available on the KDPC web site.

Take care
Ian B

Hi ALL,

I hope everyone is handling the virus situation well and looking forward to an easing of the lockdown soon.

I have nothing startling to pass on unfortunately but any information available is likely to found on our club website.
The address is kdpcinc@gmail.com
Club Secretary Nik Round does a fine job putting what news there is on there.

Wear your mask and stay safe.

Ian B
