I have sent my money twice (2 years) Sent various emails to the address on their web site (with no response) It doesn't appear to have been active since 2014 although I know that a couple of events were held in 2015.
I get my members discount at the produce store because they trust that I am member although I have no proof. The club is still listed in Australasian Poultry. Can someone enlighten me - is there perhaps a new website somewhere?

I assume that you have had a look here Sue http://www.cqpoultryclub.com/index.htm

They have updates to the their show late last year so someone is looking after the website.

You might find some contacts there.

Thanks Erika - that's the site that I think I joined on last year. Also where I got the addresses for my emails. The only things that appear to have been updated are last years show results. It is difficult for me to get to their monthly meetings and I'm not inclined to try if they are not happening

I haven't had anything to do with the club for several years. I have no idea if it's still active either. Is there a secretary listed on the webpage?

Yes - that's who I sent the emails to. Might resend them to one of the other addresses - only lost $20 total but peeved that I havn't got any response at all. I understand that clubs are run by overworked volunteers, just want to know if I've actually joined anything.

I went to their AGM last night. Resolved my membership and lack of contact issues. Most there seemed to be mature game bird men.
I raised the issue of their lack of presence on BYP. They do have an established yearly programme of events and I offered to do updates on the forum.
They also apparently have regular member presentations and are looking for new members (nice if they were active and not just financial)
The club will have a display at the Canberra show - I will be taking Barnevelders, Araucanas and Sussex. - I think Canberra backyarders would like to see 'alternative' Soft Feathers as egg layers. :ooops

Good for you Sue!

Sometimes club members are not good with internet/ emails etc.
A promotions person like you will be a fabulous asset to the club.
