Good day out, my first time at Narrogin. Sorry about the lack of photos, only got one self indulgent photo of my australorp pullet and then a blurry one of the reserve hard feather large champ Oeg and the battery ran out! Wouldn't get a job with a camera in a hurry.
Bird of show was a bantam( OEG or modern - cant remember which i was still sulking about the camera)of Nigel Kemp and reserve a white leghorn cockerel of Graeme McLevie
Some good bantam Malays and the first time I'd seen shamos in the flesh. One of which was champ hard feather large.
Champ soft feather large was a white Wyandotte cockerel of K Beresford and I think reserve was a light Sussex of Alistair Lyons.
I hope I have remembered correctly, hopefully someone might correct me if not and maybe have some photos as well.

Richard

Hi Canna, pity about the mid-west show.My blue Australorps didnt get a card, I missed the judging and didnt ask the judge about them. One of my black pullets got best australorp in the class of nine or ten.The photo below of her is the only decent one I got on the day before the camera karked it, although she isnt standing quite right.
Cheers Richard

Hi Dizzy,
Yeah the champ was a Modern Black Red bantam cockerel. I got reserve champ HF bantam with on OEG Blue Red LL cockerel. Happy to hear you liked the Malay Bantams. I've still got a long way to go with them.

Did they have their own class or were they competing against the Blacks? The one on the left doesn't look bad at all.

Hi David, yes the blues were competing with the blacks.

Hi joewa, your bantam malays were really well presented. Are they still fairly young?

Yeah they were hatched in December. Trying to breed as late as possible to try to keep them small but they lay so early up here. Most of my birds are laying flat out now so it makes it hard to breed late and also hard to show pullets.
