I have these two lavender Araucanas and am hoping someone can confirm my thoughts please
Is the second pic is a male and the first one a female? (Note to self last picture loaded shows up first lol)

The chicks where dyed in there shells so I would know what hen they where from the male was died purple and the hen orange...just incase your wondering about the bit of color on them where the baby feathers show through.

Thanks for your help!

I'd agree with you, mainly going on the larger size and deeper pink colour of the comb of the male. Yes, the pics load in reverse order but you can still add a note to clarify which chick you mean. :-)

You can use the handy edit button to the bottom right of your post or add a file comment to an attached image, if you wish.

Congratulations on uploading your pics of the Rhode Is Red chicks to the Gallery. The larger view now in your post was achieved by copying & pasting the code from the Linked Medium for each image. :-)

Agree with Cackles.
Araucana (like Silkies) are unusual in that the females tend to show much more feature in their head/facial feathering
Females will have much more developed/fluffy crests, muffs and beards than the males.

Thank for the feedback they are still looking very much like 1 boy/1 girl for the lavenders.
Can you give me your thoughts on this white one....thinking boy this week (last week I thought girl). It is 1/8 of another breed as the mom is a 3/4 Anacauna.
