Hi.There was an unpleasant incident at our place today. Our lovely rooster, Roger, decided to go on an excursion over the fence and into the neighbours backyard. The neighbour's dog formed a welcoming committee and promptly chased poor Roger removing many of his magnificent tail feathers in the process. Fortunately our neighbour was on hand to separate the two before too much damage was done. My question is - how long before Roger can be expected to return to his former glory. Thanks.

It might depend on the season - took my white Araucana almost six months, but they all moulted in the middle of that, and he re-lost that first re-growth. All was well eventually, but it did seem to take longer than it should have/could have.
