Never thought of feeding potato to hens, don't usually feed scraps of any kind, I just stick with traditional feed, Lauckes or whatever.
Now have over-supply, like bags, of spuds, and gave a few chooks some leftovers of mashed potato. Predictably they went mad over it, so I'm cooking a huge pot-full for the lot. Intend to mix half/half with fine-crushed grains as a mash. With a slosh of Anitone for vitamin-mineral supplement.
Any wisdom on feeding boiled potato as part of the ration (mostly without skin)? I have some memory of reading that potato skin is not good, (though that could just relate to the toxin in green potato which is not on the menu for people or chooks).
