Hi

With the closure of the Dandenong Poultry auction at Mills road, is there any other auction around SE Melbourne? I have a few 8-week old roosters and would like to get rid of them.

Hope to hear some suggestions.

I would also like to know this I've been using Club auctions to sell birds, I thinks helps the clubs and generates interest and a wider social interaction with poultry people. The events are generally advertised here and elsewhere. basically making a day of it as some are a long way.

no auction north west, we a sell between 700 and 1000 birds a week and conduct pure bred ales on a Sunday. Last Sunday 800 pure bred birds sold for yop money barnie pullets $150 for pens of two silver ones.

there are no auctions being helsd anty where till further notice by order of the state govement and federal govement . once the ban is lifted it will then be upto the insurance companies. auctioneer

Thanks Auctioneer, I hadn't thought of insurance companies having a further (controlling) voice - but of course, makes sense - after all they put so many small riding schools out of business a few years ago, they're not going to hold back now they can get away with it further. Not happy Jan.
