Hi Ajking,
Your photos remind me of the Pits I grew up with and the fowls my father had right up until his passing.
The breed pair of the brown red and splash/spotty hen also reminded me of the old brown red line dad had.
The hens on occasion would start out brown red with dark legs and dark eyes.
Over a few moults by full maturity they would change colour each year, progressively getting lighter in a total colour change.
They would end up splash/white with an orange eye and yellow legs.
It was a very old pure line of Pit that was much valued on the bench or in the pit.

Funny you say that my hen started out as a Furness and is getting whiter every Molt. I’ll post some pics of her when she was younger. Can’t wait to see what come from there mating.ive only had one litter from her and that’s the pics with the full Furness pullet I put up.the father was a mostly black with a tiny bit of red in him, I ended up giving him the chop his leg was broken.
