Hi everyone,
Can anyone tell me if this is a Plymouth Rock?
Image
Most of my 12 chicks I think I can tell the breed (4 Australorp, 2 Light Sussex, 1 GL Wyandotte, 1 SL Wyandotte and 1 Blue Orpington) but this one has me stumped:

Also, is this a RIR or New Hampshire?

Thanks

First one is definately a plymouth rock although its leg colour should be yellow like its beak
Dont know what the other two are but both look like boys at this stage :(

First is a Barred Plymouth Rock cockerel,
next 2 look like Silver Laced Wyandotte Cockerels,
and the last is neither RIR or New Hampshire, being Buff with white legs it looks like a Buff Orpington .
All are cockerels, from the photos at this age.

but my little silver-laced Wyandotte looks nothing like this other one...also, can you really tell the sex of chicks at 4 weeks? Maybe I'm just hoping I won't have twelve little roosters!! :?

No no one can be certain from just looking at photos of 4 week old chicks.

Yes, you can get the odd single comb in wyandottes but to get two out of one hatch is a bit of a problem. My guess is that these (the silvers) are crossbreds or that one of the parents was a crossbred.

now I'm confused! In the photos above, there are two photos of the same chick! Which I'm sure is NOT a wyandotte, only because I have two others that look exactly like their 'mother', my GL Wyandotte, Betty Crocker (well, at least one is Gold-laced and the other is the same but with 'silver' feathers).....so I guess what everyone was saying is that the chick above is probably a cross breed...I guess :?

I'll try and post photos of the other two Wyandotte chicks to show what I mean...
