What an amazing auction and array of birds! Well done to everyone concerned. I love this auction (Just wish the shed was bigger - so squeezy to move around!) But loved the range of gorgeous quality (and healthy) birds today - so many rare breeds /colours! Blue laced Red Wyandotte bantams to Vorwerks and Lakenvelders and Appenzellers- Amazing!!

Gorgeous weather and sausage sizzle to boot - what a great day out!

Thanks Took Took for your kind words it's nice to be appreciated.
It was a great day and club members enjoy the pleasant atmosphere as much as our patrons. The range of breeds etc. was exceptional and quality to match. I haven't done a thorough check but the prices and overall clearance rate was pleasing.
A number of members put in a fair effort before, during and after these sales to ensure a smooth event and we thank them very much. Thanks, also. to the ABC "Gardening Australia" programme for their co-operation and I hope they had a good result.

The next auction will be on the first of July and we look forward to seeing everybody there.

Regards Ian B

Hi All,

We had another great day at Kyneton. The weather was fine and mild, particularly for April, with a large attendance.
Seller and Bidder numbers were close to best ever. I was disappointing that one booked seller did not come and made no attempt to contact the club, This left little time to try and fill the pens.

The TV crew from the ABC programme "Gardening Australia" cooperated extremely well and the sale went on as normal. The ABC personality Millie Ross purchased some chooks and we wish her well with the additions to her family. We enjoyed their visit and they are welcome to return.

The clearance during and after the auction was terrific and a large number of pens realised $!00,00 and some much more.

The sausage sizzle was extremely busy adn we thank Robert and the crew very much. Thanks to everyone who contributed on the day as the auctions depend on these member for the wellrunning and success of our sales.

Thanks also to Clint and Bridgette for donating 3 lovely Cochin pullets as the main raffle prize. We aknowledge donations from Woodend Produce. Taramede Market and Kyneton Feed and Grain fortheir donations of feed etc.

The next auction will be 1/7/18 and fertile will be accepted. The kdpc committee has decided that Eggs will be sold in a new section in the Cattle Area.

Regards Ian B
