Hi, three or four of my eight birds have red legs, and also one has a patch of red skin. I can’t see any mites or eggs at all, and I have cleaned and sprayed the coop and sprayed the birds with Maddison 50, but the red lays remain.

All appear healthy therwise, and have just begun laying. Any advice is welcome.
Thanks
Pauline

Not Scaley leg - legs look nice and healthy. The red sides are typical. especially on males, at this time of the year. It's hormonal.
Here's a link to some Scaley Leg pics

and a couple of really bad legs

Thank you for that, this is the first time I have had males, so it makes sense. I have not seen red legs before so was a bit worried.
Many thanks :th
