The Auction will be held on Sunday 14/10/2018 in the Horace Don Pavilion at the Kyneton Show Grounds on the corner of Mollison and Beauchamp Streets. Kyneton. Kyneton is a pleasant and historic town only an hour and a bit drive from the Melbourne CBD along the Calder Freeway.

Penning is before 10.30 am. Auction between 11.30am and 1.00pm Viewing after 10.00am
Pens $4.00 each for standard and large [Goose] pens. $3.00 each for bantam pens. All pens have a 3 birds Maximum and sold as one. Fertile EGGS in cabinets are $2.00 per egg carton or similar. Eggs in bantam pens are $3.00 per pen with no limit but sold as one pen lot . Bidder registration is $2.00 which includes a pencil and notepad
Sundry goods are $3.00 for most items. Outside Stalls @ $15.00 for regular sites
Bookings are essential and by phone only to Ian or Hazel on 03 54274242. Bookings close Friday 11/10/2018 . All birds are to be presented in a healthy, disease free state and the club reserves the right to refuse entry to any bird presented in an unacceptable condition. Young birds must be off heat and feathered.
All transactions are cash only [no EFPOS or cheques] between the seller and buyer with the club taking no commissions. Buyers and Sellers, provided with name tags, can discuss the various breeds and their needs. A sausage sizzle is available along with other hot and cold refreshments for your enjoyment.
There will be a great raffle with a terrific main prize and a nice range of other prizes. Tickets are only available at the auction. Raffle drawn on the day and winners notified. The club is appreciative of the support of the following sponsors:-" Woodend Produce Store", " Birds R Us of Bendigo", Watts Fruit Shop", "Kyneton Stock Feeds" and "Toolern Vale Market". The club has cardboard boxes on sale for buyers to carry their purchases home in comfort.
The Kyneton Poultry Club Inc. is a not for profit community based group and all proceed go to the continued refurbishment of our pavilion and promotion of poultry keeping in general Most of the cages are new or have been refurbished .
The pavilion has a solid concrete floor, new lighting and we have increased our pen numbers to 412. There are 62 designated egg spaces in the cattle section beside the pavilion and bidding will close at 12.30pm. The auction is conducted by volunteers who give their time, expertise and energy to help run a successful event. They are only too happy to be of assistance to our patrons.
